The awards highlighted companies addressing critical challenges in modern finance, from fraud detection to legacy system modernization.

Carpe Data earned the recognition for addressing two major insurance industry challenges: fraud detection and commercial underwriting efficiency. In 2024, the company's platform uncovered over 74, 000 contradictory fraud alerts, which Carpe Data reports saved customers $233.3 million. The Online Injury Alerts service automatically monitors millions of online sources including social media, local news, and public records.

According to Carpe Data, carriers using their platform uncover 20 times more fraud than traditional identification methods while delivering five to ten times more actionable evidence than competitors. On the commercial underwriting side, Carpe Data's Minerva Risk Score and Commercial Solutions replace manual processes with automated intelligence. The platform generates predictive insights in under a second using just a business name and address, reportedly reducing review time by 15 to 30 minutes per application.

Other winners included Rocket Software for Data Innovation, KlariVis for Best Customer Data Implementation, Pentaho for Best Integrated Data Management Platform, and Merge for Best Data Partnership Excellence. The awards recognized solutions ranging from mainframe modernization to community bank analytics.
